Morgan Ellis writes poetry and fiction alongside work in photography, painting, music, and film. Ellis’s teaching and research inform a sustained interest in how art changes perception and how meaning emerges through attention. Drawing on everyday life and philosophical inquiry, Ellis’s poems explore memory, intimacy, and the uncertain relation between an experience and its interpretation. Across forms, Ellis is interested in ambiguity and in what a work of art can reveal without fully explaining itself.
